Facilities Roofing Needs
November, 2004 Report
Missionary TECH Team is committed to the principle of good
stewardship in all that God entrusts to us. This includes our time, our skills
and abilities, and the care of the material goods that our loving Father
entrusts to us in the way of equipment and facilities. Another of TECH's guiding
principles is to remain debt free, and, except for our buildings, we have not
incurred debt. Currently we have no indebtedness, for which we thank God.
Great
care is exercised to maintain our facilities so that they are safe, attractive
and functional. Many who visit comment on the judicious use of space, the
caliber of equipment used in ministry and the economical choice in quality
furnishings, which maintain comfort and functionality. TECH's first office was
in the home of the Wiley family. In the fall of 1969, the LeTourneau
organization let us use a large caretaker's home, located at their headquarters,
for our office. Our main office of 6,000 square feet was built and occupied in
1975, with a 3,600-foot addition dedicated in 1990. In 1980, we built a 3,750
square foot shop building (now being used to produce missionary displays and to
care for the loaner auto fleet) and doubled the size in 1986. In 1996, the Lord
enabled us to construct a ten-space RV Park to be occupied by volunteers and
missionary guests. For all this we are most grateful and praise God for His
faithfulness and for the gracious giving of His people that makes all this
possible.
There is now an urgent need to put a protective coating on the
metal roofs of our office facility, and if possible, the shop building. The bid
price for the office building roof is $11,987.50. To do the same preventive
maintenance on the shop building would cost approximately $9,375. Please
prayerfully ask God how He might have you participate with us in this needful
project, and, if He so moves you to do so, please
contact
us to let us know.
Webmasters Update: in early spring of 2005 the Lord provided
the financial resources and skilled roofing personnel to guide our TECH Team
staff in preparing and resealing our office buildings roof. Praise the
Lord!
The acronym TECH came as a
result of our calling to provide
"Technical, Engineering and Consulting Help"
to missions and
like-minded Christian organizations. |
