Vehicle Leasing and Service

Missionary TECH Team's Mechanical Services department  provides help to missions, missionaries, and Christian workers around the world through the leasing of vehicles.

Missionary TECH Team is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian service mission dedicated to helping like-minded (follow this link to read our "Foundational Biblical Beliefs" statement) Christian organizations by providing various technical services which enable many different ministries to be more effective and fruitful in their outreach.

Donations

Missionary TECH Team is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  As a result, any vehicle donated to TECH may be eligible to be claimed by the donor as a tax exempt gift.  Many of our current fleet vehicles have been donated by individuals interested in supporting worldwide missionary work.  Other vehicles have been donated to TECH that we have been able to sell, whose proceeds are turned back into TECH's Mechanical Services ministry in order to purchase tools, equipment and parts to keep our lease fleet in proper and safe operating condition.  Contact us about how your vehicle donation can help minister to those who are in the frontlines of spreading the Gospel.  By following this link you can read an Adobe Acrobat PDF file created by the IRS (Pub 4303 (8-2004) as it relates to new IRS regulations for vehicle donations effective January 1, 2004 on vehicle donations.

We would also like you to be aware, that according to IRS regulations, if the value of your vehicle donation is greater than $5,000, that you should acquire a written appraisal before making your donation (please visit www.irs.gov and view Publication 561 for details).

Leasing

TECH maintains a modest fleet of of vehicles available to lease for four month or longer. Our fleet includes mini-vans as well as sedans.  Our fleet inventory is in constant change as vehicles are leased, donated vehicles come and go, and older vehicles are moved out of the fleet.  This service is specifically designed to minister to international missionaries on furlough in the United States. Before a vehicle is put out on a lease it goes through a rigorous 50-point safety and service inspection by one of our staff missionaries skilled in auto mechanics.  We can also provide a local contact to assist in acquiring automobile insurance for one of our vehicles while it is under lease for a period of six months or longer. 

All leased vehicles can be picked up or returned to our location here in Longview, Texas.  When doing so, you are invited to tour our facilities.  The nearest airport to our offices is the Gregg County Regional Airport, (airport code GGG), which is served by American Airlines.
